Microstories: The Wrong Door

In your eyes

I can believe

the

blush of true love

implicit in our first kiss;

Heartbeat to heartbeat,
A true marriage
Ageless
Laughter
and Love.

So much more

Than my fantasy

Will

Disintegrate,

Vanish,

If you open that locked door

Tonight.

  1. Such a controlled piece, TIna! Love the threatening tone - the one-word cascade - mixed with vulnerability at the end. Excellent title, too!

  2. I love how this starts all romantic like a fairy tale then quickly escalates into betrayal. Brilliant. The wrong door..and definitely the wrong choice. ♥

  6. I liked a lot of this, especially the emotional components. I am confused by the use of "Than" when I expected "Then," but somehow, it works.
Found you on Yeah, Writes. Looking forward to more.

    Best to you,

    Sally
