Crawling Out From Underneath The Tinsel

So...How was everyone's Christmas?

I did lots of ridiculous things, like stay up very late, sleep in, and stay in my jammies all day.  I watched the complete first season of Supernatural.  I read about seventy books.  Maybe not seventy.  At least ten.  And I hardly touched the computer at all.  It seemed to be a good time for a rest.

And I ate.  Oh Mylanta, did I eat!   I ate an entire gift box of peanut brittle, for one thing.  Anything remotely chocolate in a five mile radius?  Gone.  An entire meatloaf was consumed, because nobody in this house likes meatloaf, and I hate to let food go to waste.  Christmas cookies?  History. For once, I satisfied my food cravings like a sailor on shore leave.  All the things that I usually have to avoid, I ate.  I have no regrets, except for the spicy pretzels.  Those didn't really do as a midmorning snack.

But now it is time to get back on the wagon, as it were.  I hope that blogging is like riding a bicycle, and that I remember the routine as easily as before.  I'll leave you with one last look at Christmas...

  1. Can you imagine the person who has to take THAT tree down? *sigh* I'm cringing at the two strings of lights on the outside bushes. House looks as if Christmas never happened here though, so I suppose I'm ahead of the game.

My new years's resolution this year is to take more naps. I took one today. So I guess I'm ahead of the game there too. :)

    1. Naps are a luxury these days! I am glad that you've got one in the bank for 2014, and many more to come, I hope!

    1. Happy New Year to you as well, Red! I think that I've done away with just about all of the food gifts we've received over the holidays. Of course, I will have to work extra hard to burn those gifts off of my thighs!
