October 26, 1881

A simple plan, he said.

They got it all wrong, he said.

Land outside the town, dressed in period clothes, saunter to the OK Corral.

Idiot.

Stray gunfire has always been the problem.

33-word travel story.  There's lots of controversy about the shootout at the Ok Corral(which didn't actually happen there), and I've always wanted to see for myself.  From a distance, of course.

This weekend, we want you to give us a 33-word time travel story.  We don't usually tell you what to title your piece, but we'd love it if you could title it with the year/date that you choose. - See more at: http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/#sthash.Fag8gNaO.dpuf

  1. Maybe it's living in the southwest for most of my life, but I've always been fascinated by the 'wild west' days. I think I watched the movie, "Tombstone" at least eighteen times. I agree - viewing from a distance would be a rush (those darned stray bullets :))

  3. Great idea for the prompt. Maybe you could watch the gunfight from the Hindenberg? Oh yeah, never mind.

  7. I adore that last line, Tina! Great time to travel to (as long as you can get back unscathed!)

  8. Maybe you should hide a bullet-proof vest beneath those period clothes.

  9. it's the always the THING you weren't expecting ( you just can't plan for everything) that is going to get you in the end.

Safe is relative when shotguns are involved, no? ;)

hope you had a great weekend my friend.
