I am taking a couple of days off...

Last night I just could not keep my eyes open long enough to write my blog.  I tried, but what I was trying to type was not making it from my brain to my finger tips.

I actually think I may have written a sentence or two in Klingon. Or Sanskrit. I am not sure.

My point is that I need some sleep. So that is what I am going to do.

Sleep. Read. Veg.

I am not going away, just trying to get my bearings back.

Well, and finish the Christmas shopping.

And cook the Christmas dinner.

And get the house ready for guests.

And wrap stuff.

And hide the stuff I wrapped.

And remember where I hid the stuff I wrapped.

You know...the usual.  I'm sure that you're doing the same things, as well.

De-stress by looking at this pleasant picture.  LOOK, dammit!

  1. Why is this time of peace and joy so stressful?!?! Thank you for being such a great blog buddy this year - and apologies for not being so great myself. I hope it gives you some comfort to know that down the other end of the world, you've got a buddy you've never met who thinks your blog is several kinds of awesome! Merry Xmas!!!

  3. This year, I didn't even start shopping until the 23rd. Knocked all but two gifts out in four hours. Christmas Eve, bought the remaining few gifts, and all the food we would need for the next few days.

This year, we held a "pre-Christmas" on the night of the 24th, and cooked a big batch of lasagna and Tiramisu for dessert. Kids opened presents, then we met up with more family at the arcade we own. Copy and paste for Christmas day, with the exception of the food - it was traditional German holiday food (I love my MIL!!), and the addition of a few drinks that night at the arcade.

Have to say that with not stressing over how much we "had" to spend, and just focusing on the fun gifts, and family, it was a much better year this time around!

Hope you and yours were as blessed as we were, this year!
