Dreaming

We loft our hidden wishes

into the dreaming each night.

We escape our onerous tether,

and,

Responsibilities forgotten,

We put on our crown

And rule

The only world that is

Ours to command.

This weekend we're asking for 30 of your own words plus the three following words for a total of 33 words.

  5. The right dreams really can be an escape. (I say the right dreams, because the ones I remember, are riddled with anxiety from something bothering me from my waking hours.) This does make wonder if my kids would listen to me better if I had a crown? Mmmm...only in my dreams!

  7. Oh, I really like the subtle fantasy of this. Dreams are a great escape. If I could truly command my dreams, a lot more of them would feature Robert Downey, Jr., and Ben Affleck. :)

    Beautiful work!
