Moderation

Trifextra:  I've been on an Arc Angels kick these days, and I was listening to "Too Many Ways to Fall", and this popped into my head. And I wasn't even drinking, either.

Three women stand,
Silent.
Each points the way,
Three different roads to follow.
Which will you choose?
Banished or Blessed;
Blessed or Banished;
It's often the straight, middle path
that leads you home.

The Rule of Three is a writing principle that asserts that, in writing, groups of three have the most impact. This week's challenge is to write 33 words using the Rule of Three somewhere among them.  It is up to you to interpret the rule, just make sure to use exactly 33 words.

  1. I love the images here; the silent women standing at the crossroads is a great one.

  3. Wow that's really good. Imagine what you could have done with the wine?

  4. Imagine if you were...drinking! I love that stood silent. I think the best path, often, is the middle one. Keeps you from veering too much one way or the other.

  5. Nicely done. I can picture the women studying their options. Like the wisdom of taking the middle path (middle of the road).

I welcome comments, but reserve the right to correct your spelling because I am OCD about it!
