Resolved

Resolved:
Happy.
Healthy.

New Year's resolution in three words is this week's prompt.  This was hard, mostly because I don't make resolutions.  Really, who needs that kind of pressure?   I suppose that everyone needs to have some sort of a goal to work toward, however. My usual goals involve savoring good foods and fine wines, or a newly acquired piece of chocolate.  I tend to avoid the lofty goals, because what I really need most is to live in the moment, something that I tend to forget.  But the two goals I finally selected are ones that I probably should focus on more often.

  1. I hate New Years resolutions. If someone is determined to do something, do they really need an arbitrary date? The kind of stuff a person feels the need for an arbitrary date to begin tends to be odious. Life's too short to do crap that's odious.

  5. I don't do resolutions, either! Seems to be an invitation for failure for me.

  11. Healthy and happy are as basic as it gets when it comes to the foundation upon which we build our lives. Best of luck with both goals. I wish you a dazzling year of personal fulfillment and pleasure. You are most deserving of both. :)

  12. Healthy is a good one for me. Resolved to actually do something to make that happen may be more difficult.

  14. Well..happy and healthy is something i think we all want..and would be foolish not to .. really .. but it is almost unbelievable @the way humans can be convinced into believing un happy and un healthy ways to go.. in life..

And of course the evidence of that is every where.. we look..so nice to meet happy and healthy people in life..

But the part i like the most is resolved..as it makes IT known that there is contentment ..simple contentment in life...

It's difficult for me when problems lie unresolved..i would rather let them go than linger with those things i cannot change..

So here's a toast to letting go.. and just being resolved at life...plus happy 2014..2

  15. I really like what you said about living in the moment. To me, the problem with many resolutions is you get so focused on the destination, you don't savor what the journey has to offer. And who needs that kind of pressure anyway?
