Every Night

Prompt:  This weekend we are challenging you to write 33 of your own words to build upon the following:

On the count of three...
You can choose to include those words if you want, but they do not count toward the 33 words of your own.

On the count of three...

The boy is asleep,
The husband, as well.
At last, I can write, with
The cat-who-lives-under-the-bed
Curled up next to the monitor,
purring,
her tail punctuating my sentences.

  1. The last line gorgeous. I get that from our cat, too.

Love how you layed this out.

  2. Reminds me of my cats who insist on sharing my lap with the laptop :)

  3. I love this. I fear though, that I may never be able to limit myself to only 33 words.

  4. I could totally relate to this (except my cats insist on walking across the keyboard as well).

  5. This made me feel good. And I love that the cat is punctuating your sentences! :)

  6. This one made me smile. I can see the tail whipping back and forth. My cat Charlie always sleeps in a way where her tail moves so often past my face that it shows up on my dreams as all sorts of things.

  7. I have other excuses I use more often, but this might be the REAL reason I can't have a cat right now -- not enough solitude!

Fun bit, I could hear the tail thumping (and almost want a cat now).

I welcome comments, but reserve the right to correct your spelling because I am OCD about it!
