While he loved it, he surprised me by saying that he felt practice every night and meets on weekends would be too much for him to deal with and keep up with his school work. He wanted to be more serious about his grades this year and do better in school. My mouth dropped. Who are you and what have you done with my kid? True to his word, he is making straight A's in school this fall which seems remarkable. It floored me how mature he seemed about it at the age of 10. So, when he is ready to swim again, we will move heaven and earth to make it happen for him. Until then he is content, getting his school work done and playing Minecraft.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11564863484894692249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1079589059457212218.post-29118051062061490602015-10-10T20:27:29.694-05:002015-10-10T20:27:29.694-05:00Oldest just joined a tournament league for basketb...Oldest just joined a tournament league for basketball. He is SO NOT used to having to run "suicides" if the other side of the court reached 20 points before they do.

He had to do 15 laps of the gym for mistakes by the team in drills... you'd have thought he was going to die!!! Of course that is all part of the HS level training.

As well as the $160 price tag for 6 practices and 2 tourneys.Julihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10097214923216967086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1079589059457212218.post-62544668395118309182015-10-05T16:23:31.202-05:002015-10-05T16:23:31.202-05:00I'm glad he enjoys playing soccer and you had ...I'm glad he enjoys playing soccer and you had a league available to maintain the challenge.
That was a good analogy for three year olds playing soccer. I've watched my share of children's games. Ann Bennetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17759967601352382204noreply@blogger.com
