I'm sure glad they changed that little rule!KatBouskahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11556451375792958743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1079589059457212218.post-76710457643570781012014-02-13T08:55:09.645-06:002014-02-13T08:55:09.645-06:00Valentine's Day was much the same for me, as i...Valentine's Day was much the same for me, as it was for you. And, I surely am a generation ahead of you. Now days... it seems that even in Kindergaten our children (grandchildren) need to be "politically correct". Crazy! My daughter is only two, and the list of things not allowed at her "school" is a mile long to include candy, cookies, cupcakes, juice and anything with nuts or that may have ever possibly come within a mile of a nut. I totally understand the reasoning (child obesity, tooth decay and allergies) but it's definitely in stark comparison to the way things were when I was growing up!Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03142837079955314484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1079589059457212218.post-35431461563714896162014-02-13T06:06:48.805-06:002014-02-13T06:06:48.805-06:00Oh yes. Now showing up without a card - complete with candy, of course - would be punishable by death, or at least a phone call home or something. My boys don't really care much either, it's more of a "Hey, do we get some candy today?" reaction. mjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08408037569157979680noreply@blogger.com
