HAPPY MONDAY..and I hope you are not...HI my friend. HAPPY MONDAY..and I hope you are not having a migraine today.

Yes, I get migraines. Until I got Pregnant at 37, I had migraines (started when I was 21) when I ovulated and when I got my period. I can talk about that stuff here right?

I went on the pill, but I would still get "MENSTRUAL MIGRAINES" every month, so I would load myself with motrin etc and try to work through them. Back then they were the aura kind, DEEP THROBBING pain and sensitivity to light, smell and noise.

right after the boys were born, one week to the day, I woke John convinced I had had a stroke. We sped off to the ER and it took almost 10 months and three more trips to teh ER, a 3 day stay in the hospital and lots and lots of bloodwork, MRI's, Occupational therapy to diagnose Fibromyalgia (which has probably been dormant for years in me) and Complex Migraines.

My new headaches, like yours, are either hormonal, bad weather..Barometric pressure, or foods. I can no longer overindulge in things like yogurt, maple syrup, any kind of wine, mayo (and anything dairy to be honest) plus I also know when I will be having one, because I go numb and tingling on both sides of my body. A stroke happens on ONE side, my new headaches, (due to my IVF pregnancy, twin pregnancy, bedrest etc and high blood pressure issues even at my low weight right now all attribute) make me tingle and get numb, vertigo all over my body.

Caffeine doesn't help me, even Excedrin doesn't ..I load up on Motrin or Aleve. I take 1/2 a xanax to help with the muscle contractions (but I haven't taken a xanax in MONTHS at this point) and I go to sleep. SLEEP seems to be the one thing that helps the most.

I can't believe the kinship we have in this shitty ailment. If you ever want to talk about it , just email me. I'd be interested to keep track with you.

xo
Kirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17894442143508446312noreply@blogger.com
